"We went to try out El Jalisco for lunch on a Saturday. It was not too busy. Nothing fancy, affordable Mexican food restaurant. I ordered beef fajitas, the portion size was good but came with only 3 tortillas. Salsas were pretty bland. The service was friendly and efficient!"

"I travel an hour to eat here. I would put it at the top of my list in the category of your standard Mexican restaurant in the southeast. At first glance, you wouldn’t think there was anything particularly special about it, but it the quality of the food exceeded my expectations. Highly recommend the chicken soup or the chiles poblanos with ground beef (you have to request this). Atmosphere is simple and no-frills, but feels comforting and cozy. Staff has always been very friendly in all my visits. Highly recommend."
